We analysed 525 Malmö adolescents with respect to physical disciplination. at age 14,16 and 18. 20% reported that, 10% repeated. PhysD did not affect substance use, cirminality and anxiety/depression at age 18. Exposure to PhysD was associated with ADHD symptoms, poor Aggression control and a perception of being treated unfairly. Sex, social background, immigration did not matter. Summed up, "difficult children" are exposed to PhysD, probably by "difficult parents" (because ADHD and aggression control are strongly hereditary). There was a dose-response effect of more PhysD on significant effects suggesting causality. Overall, PhysD was probably too mild to cause salient negative effects.

Tack för sammanfattningen av er intressanta studie, Sten! Har den ännu hunnit bli publicerad? Resultaten är nämligen i linje med en amerikansk familjebaserad studie som jag inom kort kommer att sammanfatta.
